There are many beautiful beaches in the vicinity of Stavros. Many are in walking distance of Porto Thiaki Hotel. At Polis beach there is a Cantina with refreshments and snacks and where swimming is ideal for children and adults alike. Aphales is renowned for snorkelling and maybe the only surf found on Ithaca. At Ag. Yiannis beach you can may find a small cove with aqua sea all to yourself and at the Kravoulia beaches near Frikes, you can spend the entire day swimming in the clear, pool-like bays.
